Unbelievable! Tim and I won 3 and lost none, and we didn't even do things perfectly. We beat an Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, Brit, and something else that didn't matter. The flamethrowers and diciples just dominate infantry, the samurai dominate cavalry, and they both have AWESOME siege. This really might be better than the jans and grens because it's in their town at 7:30 and they lose their entire army and all their military buildings in 30 seconds, before they even have time to respond. Unreal...

Wow....yeah that is a great strat. Personally, I love the samurai. The only question is how many samurai was tim able to get in their base by 7:30? 10?

That combines with 5 flamethrowers and 7 disciples at 7:30 as well with another 3-5 flames set to arrive in their base at 8:30 depending on how well I do. 5 flames may not seem like a lot, except when you consider the fact that the 5 of them do almost 1000 damage (siege) to infantry every 3 seconds and they do 600 siege damage to buildings in that same time period. The samurai are just as good and serve as both a siege weapon and an anti-cav meat shield as well. It first I was worried about skirms and longbows, except when you consider that they flames are fast enough to chase them down, have 65% ranged, do siege damage, and can each kill most ranged inf in one volley or 3 seconds (120 infantry damage). The longbows might get 2-3 shots off if they are lucky. Look at our game against the British and against the Dutch for details.

Don't get too orgasmic, there is probably going to be a nerf. It is a load of shit that you can build so many fucking disciples for 80 food each. 5 fucking food more than a war dog and they have a chance to turn someone into another one. I'm not even going to PRETEND that I agree with anything about them. NERF NERF NERF are my words.
Didn't the jan rush and most other rushes come sooner? 7:30 seems kind of late. If the average person ages up at 4:30, I think it was, then they have just as much time to build an army. And you can't really count on people FFing anymore, ESO made it so hard.
Oh and by the way, have you guys seen the French crossbow rush? I didn't believe it was that good until a Master Sargent (originally a Brig) used it on me. It's kinda weird, check my recent games against that French guy.

The best part of it is, P_Cups, they can build in like 5-10 seconds. If I start to lose them, I can just pop out a bunch more immediately right in the middle of the battle as long as I don't lose my explorer. With my explorer around, I can increase their critical hits (32 damage instead of 16) by a lot which makes them almost as good as a cossack for 80 food. Think about it, the Chinese have shitty barracks units anyway, so they need something that goes along with them. The thing is, I can only build 7 of them without a card which kinda sucks but what can ya do?
That's not where the power of the rush comes though... it's really those flamethrowers that just crush ALL types of infantry before they can counter. Because they have 4.25 speed, they can chase down most ranged infantry so they can't hit and run. Plus, the siege damage is a nice perk. Oh yeah, and those minutemen things suck balls because of the 65% ranged resistance AND the fact that they are also infantry. Tim and I beat some former captains because they just couldn't kill either of our units before we raped their town. DUN.
Are you still going to play tomorrow?

Thats crazy I don't know where Tim gets the resources (or available cards) to build 16 samurai and a daimyo. Obviously it can be done, so I'll have to do some puttzing. And yeah I'm up for a game.

I'm still angry about those little fuckers . India is proving crappier by the day, and the japs are boring and overpowered, I tried chinese and their style doesnt fit me at all.

7:10 is my best time so far for the 5 flamethrowers. 7:00 would be possible with a good food treasure to help me age up sooner or a good wood treasure to let me start building them a few seconds sooner. I can do 7:30 with zero treasures but because I can usually rely on 70 coin in beavers or the like and another 40-50 from another small treasure, I'm usually ready by 7:15-7:20 and in their base around 7:30. And to answer your question Jake, use resource shipments. My first FOUR shipments are resources (wood and gold). For you though, 3 samurai might be necessary or maybe use those for reinforcements when you get some XP from battle.

Here's my strat for samurai: -all vills on food until age up (age up with 13 vills) -five vills go to wood, they will stay on wood until you have 6 shrines -if you don't get at least 95 coin from treasures, put a few vills on gold while aging up to get 95 coin -put 3 vills on the wonder, and choose the one that makes units cheaper and build faster -when you reach age 2, send daimyo, 600g, and 3 samurai (you will have 3 shipments) -put the military gather point where ben's FB will be so the daimyo goes straight there -when the daimyo gets there, queue up one samurai -the 600g shipment arrives when the samurai is about half built -put 3 vills on collecting the shipment -once the shipment is collected, put those on mining -finish the batch of samurai and start another -put the shipment dropoff point to the daimyo -when the first batch of samurai gets built, that will give enough XP for your 4th shipment (3 samurai) -adjust people from food to coin so there will be enough to finish this second batch -the second batch will finish slightly before the 4th shipment arrives, so you can start heading out right after the units are built (the daimyo can move while "accepting" a shipment, but not while building units)

Q: What would you rather have coming at you at this point in time?
A) The New England Patriots B) The Boston Celtics C) 17 Samuri, 5 Flamethrowers, 7 Disciples, and 1 Daimyo in your base at 7:30 D) None of the above because they are all undefeated!!!

If i were the Sioux and had a good dutch player on my team, the answer would be C! But too bad, the only good dutch player i know is rushing me already . I have to go with D! Are you guys ready for the SUNDAY NIGHT match up between the bills and the patriots. Bills have won 5 straight! And are a legitimate threat int he AFC East! But New England looks to make history! Coming off a bye week they will be hungry for another win!
