Tim and I played against an other turk and whatever and got crushed today. This other turk made 43 janissaries in 8:30. I don't know how he did it but I will! Also we beat 3 other pair no sweat.

Well D, by 8:30 seconds i can have an army of what ever i want of around 70 units. 70 of what ever vs 43 Jannisaries? And im pretty sure the russians can have at least a 100 by then. Although the only problem with any early rush, if it doesnt work. ie. I rush to the 3rd age in 7 minutes put up a fort and 20 lancers. GG. And damn those strelets love jannisaries.

You're 43 Janassaries scare me not. I got done playing a game and at 8:30 I had 3 horses and 22 Skirms but then at 10:18 I had 10 horses and 41 Skirms... that's tough to deal with too. This was a good game though. It is rare when I as the french have most units and buildings killed even though I was at level 5. Beware the French...

25 Jans would be OK if you were in the 3rd age at that time and were ready to boom like crazy... otherwise, you should really aim to have about 40 jans at 9-9:30 mins if you want to be competative. D can give you more advice about how to do it specifically.

ok not to scare anyone but i just had 34 jans at 9:00 without using a card. i was too slow on the clicking so it should have been 35. is anyone in the mood for dealing with 40 jannisaries at 9:00? should i have 40 WITHOUT the card?

I think if you go for 40 your economy might suffer too much, ask d, he's the expert on the ottomans.

35 to 40 janissaries in 9:00 is very good. I can't do any better. You can check with the guys that live at ESO and see what the experts can do. Sometimes partners can aid a Turk to get more so you could get some artifically high numbers.

yea, if people slingshotted you, you might be able to get 60 jannis at 9:00 although it would be kind useless on a 4v4 .

It takes until 4:00 to get to Age II with good starting resources. It takes :15 to gather the 400 wood shipment (You could give up your 3 settler shipment to get an early wood shipment but you then wouldn't have enough settlers on food.) If at Age II you send Silk Roads and 700 (910) gold, you have enough gold for 38 janissaries. The two wood shipments will build a barrack and four houses (50 pop). All settlers get food (13) or gather and build (2-3). Takes a minute to build the barracks - now 5:15. 7 batches of 5 janissaries takes 3:30. It's now 8:45. You can get a shipment of 5 more. That's 40 janissaries in 9:00 if you're flawless. What if I, Nick, Alex and Pcups all played the Turks against the others? That's 160 janissaries. Whoa! BEWARE THE TURKS!

lol, I can easily have 73 strelets in that time if I only focus on building them (maybe more with silk roads). 73 strelets X 4 people = 292 strelets at 9 mins. (I don't think Chris usually builds that many units in an entire game) Let's see how THAT one plays out.
