Some guy from ES was talking about the patch and this is basically what everyone got from it.
# Russia vill train time reduced
# Heavy Cav will be better vs *LI (he said Husar and Uhlans are too vulnerable to ranged fire..)
# Iro wont be able to build a Warhut with starting Travois
# Great *lame* House nerf
# No big changes for Dutch, Spain, Port and Britain
# Coyote Runner speed boost
# Germany faster shipment rate
# Thoghoubreads nerf (or total rechange)
There might be more, but who knows.

It is pretty much a dream patch for me. for once the spanish arent being nerfed and the germans are being boosted. Iro can no longer be the easiest sup civ to play and french can no longer just spam cuirs to win

Fucking awesome ;D My test of how OP or UP a unit is would be to look at how much people are spaming it. Right now, light inf is OP because people are spaming it none stop and there's no way to deal with them other than cannons. Heavy Cav should have a bonus against it (which hopefully includes Cossacks and Coyotes too). Russians are now going to dominate as the new OP civ! Fuck yeah baby!

sadly ben, cossacks wont be boosted. In the talks it was hussars and uhlans. I hate to say it, but the russians have orps. now lets give them faster vil train time, REALLY GOOD 1 pop units, and ultimate siege doers. Now that sounds like fun.

I guess so I'd still love to be able to pound some cassadores and skirms though. The new vill time should be amazing though... I'll be able to age up and max my vills so friken fast now! Damn. If you do the math, 2 Imperial Cossacks actually have better attack, speed, and train time than 1 Imperial 2-pop Cuirs... but less HP and (I think) slightly fewer upgrades from the HC. We'll have to test futher.

Ben it also seems they are re balancing eagle runner knights. not nerfing, they are giving them more attack but lest range. A lot less range i am assuming. this sounds fair though.

well it makes more sense, i mean how can a guy with a bird costume throw a spear farther than a guy with a rifle. I can see it doing more damage but not having more range

The same way that they can have a guy that shoots an arrow that's good against artillary and buildings but not infantry.
