I remember D telling me one time that the lannins had this awesome strat for ages 2. It involved building a wall infront of your army as well as military buildings as you advanced. I wasnt too convinced just because of the tenious micro and the possibility of your peasants getting killed.
But in the war chiefs there are 3 civs that can do a kinda blitzkrieg.
Russians, Iros and ottomans.
All have cards that let their military units build millitary buildings, for the russians its the fort.
It would be hte ultimate unrelentless attack.
Anyone wanna comment?

It's funny you should mention that PCups because I saw that strat used against me for the first time ever in a NR game. This damn Russian guy kept massing muskets which he used to build forts and pushing us back as much as he could. Combined with instant infantry that spawns from the fort and NEARLY unstant cavalry, it's pretty damn annoying I have to admit. It's particuly effective in maps that constrict such as Rockies, Patagonia, and others where map control wins games. The game I played was a NR game so he had time to get a real economy where he could mass numbers and kick ass. The Iroquois and Ottomans could be just as annoying if they could get the economy to back it up along with faster building infantry... pretty huge pain. It might be cool to do in a NR game where you have more flexability with the cards you put in your deck, and you could add stonemasons, building HP, extensive fortifications, fort cards, and other cool stuff to just dominate map control. You have to admit that there WOULD be some tedious micro but it's probably the best forward base strat there is.

Yeah, that's why we were thinking about using them for our 4v4 NR strat. Also Nick, you should really learn a good NR civ. The Ottos are good against NUBs but their slow units just can't stand up against all these OP NR civs.
