just a thought. what if you surrounded your weak melee units (or factories) with sheep? sheep can't be attacked by the enemy right?

I think the only issue with that is that when the enemy approached, he would convert the sheep and send them away, or use them to protect himself. Also, they cost 100 food, so you would need about 3000 food's worth of them to make it worthwhile. I'll bet you could put like 8 markets around a factory though... they take up a lot of space for 100 wood. Most of us, myself uncluded don't build enough buildings. Nick, you should have us beat in that!

yea i dont know how that would work at all. I think a WALL is a more viable option.

Walls are too weak, which is why I vouch for markets and blockhouses. Maybe a combo of a bunch of things. The range units, of course, COULD shoot over it... but I guess that about 90% of factories are destroyed by raids... or when your town is already destroyed anyway. You have to stop the raiding.

Ben, last time i checked walls had more HP than markets.... Cost less wood and you can tripple wall.

or triple SHEEP! and if the sheep is right next to your military then it won't be converted.

The walls would serve well outside the factory to prevent them from getting close, but the markets you can put up right next to them... and they cant fire OVER the markets like they can a wall. Plus, it would be far easier to put up 4 markets than three lines of triple walls around the factory. Who really has that kinda time for micromanaging?

Again thats just STUPID, you can just put the wall FARTHER BACK from the factory, its not that hard. They can just destroy one market and your screwed, you don thave to glue your walls against the factory.

Why not make a bunch of priests that keep healing everybody? Your units would be invincible. Or better yet, get surgeons and build a hospital near your factories. Or you could build some walls at a distance away from your factories and build a stable within the walls and get instant calvary which is what I prefer to do. 50 instant calvary archers that can be immediately replaced will fight off the raiders. Yes, you only get 30 sheep.

D seems to have to best idea with building the stables right next to them. Patrick, I advocated walls AND markets. The problem with the walls is that once they kill ONE little piece, 100 cavalry can get in and hit your factory from all sides. At least with the market they could only hit ONE side unless they killed more markets. Plus, with the building upgrade, your buildings get 40% more HP and I don't think it counts for walls... just buildings. Stables seem to be the best idea... a little pricy early on

or there is always the possiblitity of getting a bunch of cow cards AND buying a lot of sheep. That would be a very meaty wall. (no pun intended)
