Hey guys! I don't know if you want to use this or not but I just set up a Ventrilo Voice chat server, it runs on my computer, on the hamachi network ip. You don't need to be logged on to hamachi in order to be able to connect to me. (at least I don't think so) I only tested it with my self. In any case if you want to test it out sometime go to
www.ventrilo.com/download.php
and download the windows client. (you will need a mic of course. I know that tim and Pat have one.) Then you'll want to follow these steps:
1. Say no to the online tutorial prompt (unless you really want to go through that).
2. Click the Arrow next to User name.
3. Click New and give yourself a name. Don't worry about the rest.
4. Click the Arrow next to Server.
5. Click New and Type anything. (DT3 maybe).
6. Hostname IP = 5.52.129.173
7. Port = 3784
8. Click Ok.
9. Click Connect.
You should be in.
To set up the mic options click setup. The rest is pretty self explanitory. If you need help give me a ring. This sort of thing would really only be used for our online games. So we can talk instead of having to type everything.
Potential problems:
No mic. Well you can just listen.
Roommates...nuff said.
Can't connect to me at all. - Big problem, but thats why we test it.
Enjoy!
**Edit** If you can't get to the server though my Hamachi IP You can also try this one. Its my normal IP here at keene. (Only work when I'm at Keene)
Keene IP = 158.65.162.141 (I don't know if this changes. I'll keep checking.)
