The use of herded animals, previously an econ micro not worth doing, seems more useful with the ranching shipment. 30 sheep fattening and 20 cows fattening, along with the 25% at the pen, a 30% HC shipment and the brit team 20% fattening rate improvemnts cranks out a TON of food. Ideally it takes 8 villagers (with fulling mills) to keep the system at equilibrium. The fattening rate (accounting for the loss it takes to build them and the time to train them) is equal to 40 imperial farmers with 2 HC shipment upgrades. Ideally this system saves 32 pop.

Shouldnt this be in the british forum Anyway, yes this is pretty powerful, but it wouldnt be useful or possible till later game when you actually have the resources to do it, i mean yea you can send the 30 sheep card but only once

I believe the Iroquois have these cards as well but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I really think it would work best in a treaty game where we have a chance to get our economies set up and we could all raise the live stock and send them to the player to be harvested once they are fat. Then they just return the food as needed. Yes, it would mean more micro... but if it could save everyone 10-20 food peasants, it really might be worthwhile.

The start works no matter what game type. You just have to have that 1000+ food to get the cows going after that you're in the clear. 500 x 20 = 10,000 Thats a fuck load of food for only 80 x 20 = 1,600 food. I would say thats a nice profit.
