I was looking through the patch notes recently and most notably the aztecs. I was kinda intrigued so i said, why not play 1v1 after the patch. I am working up a rushing strat right now and maybe nick and ben could enjoy it

I think you should see what you can get by your third shipment. If you send 3 vills, 600 gold (resendable), then 6 pumas... you could keep all your vills on food and wood and build a warhut and some houses as you age up. You could then build 10 coyotes, build 10 pumas, and as 96 more arrive you head off... reinforcing yourself with another 5 pumas as you go... then throw in a coyote or mach shipment. Then again, the Aztecs have a tough time getting wood so it might make more sense to ship 700 wood ASAP and only gather gold using the wood for a warhut, houses, fireput and market. The problem then is you need to wait until the 700 wood arrives to build the warhut. Not so good. If you could get this down to 6 minutes or so I'd be impressed.

I tested it out, and you can pretty easily get 16 pumas and 5 coyotes at 6:10 or so and be in their base with that at 6:30. You might also want to consider waiting another minute and building 5 more coyotes and BBing 3 jags if you can get enough food. By then you might even get your 4th shipment of 5 MORE coyotes and be in his base at 7:30 with 16 pumas, 3 jags, and 15 coyotes. The first thing to target is light inf with the coyotes and houses and barracks with your pumas because they can't kill a TC that quickly and the other buildings would be more crippling. Sending the 600 gold is really the way to go so you can get the WH up earlier because they take forever to build. Also you should do the fast age up. Keeping about half on food and half on wood seemed to get the houses war hut and coyotes fast enough. I think waiting for that 4th shipment and the big button is the way to go. The downside is that you really cant build many peasants in the second age but with the warrior priest shipment you can really crank up the production when the rush is done.

Thats what I did actually ben, i didnt even bother with coyotes i can do 10 pumas and 3 jags and then 5 more jags at 5:45, jags are better than coyotes in every way!

I think it might be worth bringing them along to deal with the light infantry that you're sure to encounter if your oppenent has any sense whatsoever. A lot of players build only light inf against the Aztecs because they expect heavy inf and the Aztecs cant deal with light inf too well. 10 coyotes and your WC should be able to take them out no problem.

no, i know what you mean, but jags do more damage and can take more punishment from ranged infantry (except skirms) in the earlier ages.

Actually, the Aztecs are really terrible 1v1 I hate to admit it. I lost an unrated game against a 2nd lt and it wasn't even close. They simply have no way of countering any sort of second age units at all because macs and coyotes are just terrible.
