We all know that the dutch have a good late game and are powerful but the problem is getting there, now we cant make the dutch unrushable because then they would be OP, so if lets say they give the dtuch a boost in the early ages, like make peasants 80 gold, and still give them the extra gold crate.
That would fix one of their problems, as faster start, but then comes the late game: 1. Make ruyters a little more expensive but increase their speed 2. Take away a factory.
This would even it out, with 8 banks, 50 peasants and 1 factory.
Then they would be able to surive the early game and still have an OK, late game, you cant be unrushable and have the best lategame. What do you guys think about this?

I would be interesting to test that to see what the effects would be for the Dutch early and late game. When I hit the dutch they usually have about 20 peasants... in this case that would mean they'd have an extra 400 gold to work with. My other suggestions would be a CARD or two that could help their early game if they wanted:
1. A card for cheap peasants availible in age one 2. A card for a shipment of 6 skirms in the second age 3. A card for 3 outpost wagons rather than 2
This would allow the dutch to plan a booming or turtling strategy if they wanted. Obviously, all those cards would mean sacrifices in the late game, and I don't think we should speed up ruyters... they are already too fast to chace down.
On the whole, the game needs more units like the rodeleros which are cheap, fast, and weak in order to kill light cavalry. Ponies and cannons don't work and all other heavy infantry is too slow.

The dutch have the best booming civ. They don't need cheap early settlers. They need a way to fight off a grenadier/janissary rush. Who doesn't? More outposts doesn't do it. Outposts doesn't destroy them that well. More minutemen - no. Tim's minutemen were gone quickly like the pikemen and skirms. Age 2 ryders would make them too strong. Maybe an early shipment of age 2 ryders. Oh, I know they should may a wall of sheep that can't be destroyed.

Actually, the Dutch really don't need any fixing... the people online are just like Tim: They get really pissed when they get destroyed. Ooops. Some guy accused me and NICK of hacking today when we destroyed them. Oh well.

I guess been is right, the dutch dont really need any thing done to them. The russians dont really need help, i mean their strength is in numbers and raiding, where they fall short, is anti calvary, i mean which they should, its just the way they are . Kinda like ports cant take down buildings really well with out spending lots of pop and not until the 4th age. Currently i like the civs how they are. The only problem is the "abuse" guns that own everything. They need some modifation, maybe make them 3rd age?

Yeah, on second thought I don't think the French need any modification either. Obviously... tons of people still play them and their win % is still quite good. Germans, Ottos, and maybe Russians are still the most popular and successful civs so they could probably take a small hit.
