Its kinda funny, the effectiveness of uhlans has kinda escaped me for the past FOR EVER. Their 95 and potential 99 attack is the highest base attack of any non cannon unit in the game. With cards their hp rivals hussars. I have recently used uhlans to take out, everything thats good against them. Dragoons, halberds, cuirs, jannies. It seems that 75 resource per pop unit is definitely a strength of the germans. Mix in war wagons, dopples and skirms all fast building of course, the germans can easily over take any army! Except one composed of uhlans

Uhlans might be a good solution to those annoying French attacks of Curs, skirms, and cannons that are so hard to stop. I think the Germans should be your new full time NR civ!

What is the ratio of Uhlan to Cuir to get an even mix?

you mean how many uhlans it takes to beat a cuir?
It hink 1v1 the uhlan has the advantage because it has a little under twice the attack and a little over half the hp. I think around 600? But since cuirs have the the area attack they beat uhlans in general. But we will have to see how the 2 pop card is nerfed. It might take away their area damage.
That would give the uhlan an extreme bonus, being half the cost and closely beating/losing to a cuir.

This is very similar to the Cossack/Cur tradeoff. Two Cossacks have the same cost and pop and a Cur. With all their upgrades the 2 Cossacks have more total attack but the Cur has a little more HP. However, I think the Cur might be slightly better because the Cossack attack is cut in half when the first one dies. I'll have to run a quick test to see.
