I was thinking that attcking early could be an advantage. I was also thinking about B mentioning a week ago during a battle, "Doesn't he ever stop sending units?" What about doing both? Great idea! So I have working on it. The jans start at 5:30 and never end. Never! Well at 101 I quess. I also never stop my settler pop from growing. Well at 99 I quess. Beware the Turks!

I've been working on the same strat with either strelets, grenadiers, or even musketiers (hint hint). Normally I object to them, but they can beat pikemen, hussars (a big plus), and even crossbowmen and grenadiers if you play them right in the second age. Plus their seige is ok. Meanwhile, I have three peasants poping their heads out non-stop. With 6, yes 6 resources shipments in the second age, this is all possible until I run out of shipments. Since I don't have any good 1st or 4th age cards, I can suit my deck to make it work without give up much. The only issue is that you can only hold 10 second age cards per deck and I need 11. :-)

Heh, I held out against a cheating expert computer who came at me with 35 rodeleros/pikes at 7:40... and then stomped on the remainder of his ass when he was done. Never stopped building pesants either.

10 Jans every 34 seconds - starting when? I can send 30 jans every 25 sec in a no rush game. I trick is to hit early and continuously. Pcups, if you are the spanish, getting attacked at 6-6:30 with 15 jans could be a problem. You cannot fast fortress. I don't know if your outposts could fend it off. I beat russian computers with 4 outposts. The computer doesn't build strelets like B would however. What age 2 units do the spanish have against jans again?

I like to bring along 5 cossacks for fun too to take care of those Xbows, Skirms, and and Vills that don't make their way to the TC.

Last night we played on ESO. If you check out the military stat curve, you'll see I made nonstop jans but I asked Ben for some food (That's been fixed now that I have the 7 cow shipment in my ESO deck.) Also notice that Ben made like 37 grenadiers. What's worse than a janissary/gernadier rush - two janissary/grenadier rushes. Tim and P_cups did do well to help fight it off, but their ally got a big bite and never really recovered. We'll do better next time. Beware the Turks (and Russians)! PS B is now 0.09 pts from captain and I'm .03 pts from sergeant. I find when I play with the big boys, no one wants the noob. Maybe that will change with a higher rank.

Funny story, i was scanning over hte ranks of the game real quick before it started and i was like YES, they got the corp. but then i realized it was you . Yea our ally sucked. Tim and i did really well agaisnt the rush, especially tim. Our ally sucked though. Im not too affraid of you guys now. You can guys can build non stop jans and grenadiers and strelets. Tim and i can build non stop skirms and crossbowman and uhlans. Cost effectively and time wise we have the advantage. If you noticed tim and i effectively boomed right after that.

i beat my first Lt colonel today , i felt pretty cool. He was an ottoman. I was the germans. His statement after the game "wow, i cant believe you rushed on texas and it worked" This guy had crazy micro, it lsated 40 minutes because i had to constantly withdrawl and come back. He was very resilient too. I destroyed his TC 3 times and he build it back everytime. Good player, i just shocked him with the rush.

I was so funny because I knew before the game even started that I was going to be with D, and we were going to rush, and you guys were going to expect it. But any game that lasts an hour is worth doing. I mean, you guys got the 2nd lt. but our guy had a low city level which he overcome pretty well. I just need one more win to become a captain. Maybe I'll bash a noob like Chris or D... well... maybe not.
Good job PCups. I LOVE playing Texas as the Russians. It's basically like starting off with two towers, two barracks, AND a house! I can get to the Fortress Age in 7-8 mins and rush start pounding people/building vills like crazy! I love it! NEVER rush me on Texas. Ever.

Also D, it's so funny to see your low rank and XP with such a good win % (is it like 64 or something now) I always avoid bashing THOSE types of noobs.
