Hey guys,
It seems like the forum has lost a lot of its Ages drive since we now have had a year of TAD and three years of the game overall. This is not to say that we won't come up with a new strategy or ideas, but the Ages part of this forum seems to have lost part of its usefulness.
However, the forum has been, and will continue to be a great way for all of us to stay in touch over the years. We can easily post funny videos, tell stories, or stay involved when we're apart.
So, what I would like to propose is a Delta Team III Beta version that condenses the Ages part of the forum and expands on the social part of it. In this way, we could get Matt, Jon, Victoria, Chelsea, Kendra, Lindsay, Nick, Joe, or anyone else involved in a site that does not necessarily revolve around Ages. On the main page, we could condense the Ages thread into one or two major topics, and create new threads that pertain to everyone, "Reunions, Trips and Events," "Card/Board Games," "College," or "Stories/News," or "Just for Fun" for example. It would require a little work for the admins but would probably be worth it if people used it.
The risk we run is turning this site into another social networking site rather than something that is more unique to just us Ages players. However, I would imagine that the site would be more focused around our immediate group of friends than Facebook, and more discussion (rather than blog) based than MySpace. An alternative would be a Team X-Treme forum that we could start from scratch, but since we have DT3 set up, we might as well us it.
I personally am up for it if you guys are, but I thought it would be good to run it by you all first to see what you thought. I'm open to suggestions.
