Yes, my first game was against the sioux, and no id idnt know what i was doing, i was level 1 aztecs but hey, i had to start somewhere. Most people are calling them OP, probably because the aztecs have a hard time against them in the 2nd age. But some first time notes. Sioux: Good raids. this is the one big thing about the sioux, their raiding capability. Fast and annoying. But there is one small thing about their raids that isnt effective. THey cant destroy buildings, all other rushes i have ecountered were able to destroy buildings. This one, nopers. Against my spanish who i havent played yet, the rush probably wont be as effective as my level 1 aztecs

Pat people are calling the aztecs OP becase they skull warrior is AWESOME! I got thier siege up to 201!!! They have x2 against calvary and I think x3 against infantry. In no rush game the skull warrior pwns because you have time to make them from the fire pit. Also the aztecs are OP because their warrior priests can dance at the pit and they are 100% more effective then villagers. On fertilization dance I was getting over 300%!! What limits them is the fact that they have no calvary, but they don't really need it.

oh and with the sioux, if you want to destroy buildings, you have to change the pit dance to the tourch looking one. It increases damage to buildings.

skull wariors have 3 x vs calvary and 2x vs LIGHT infrantry, which means coyote runners. And ill tell you what i told chris. dont base your info off of Nr games, they dont require much skill and dont give you an accurate version of the game, they are fun and give you lots of XP(its the only way to level up with a level 1 HC). But yea, the skull knight isnt really effective until the 4th age when you have time to use another dance. Even though you can get 1 right when you age up to the 2nd age

Hehe i just played annother game against hte sioux, this time i won, but god damn those fucking raids are fast, i usually pride my self on being able to notice anything before something bad happens, and i can only get a glimpse of these guys before they are on my poor peasants . Then ig et puma spear men and the games over.

I think your missing a large part of what the sioux are capable, first off thier calvarly is amazing, but like pat said, only if you get to use it. Where the Sioux really shine, is repeling attacks on a forward base. They don't have a fort, they only have blockhouses... but fuck man, if you put up some teepees, god damn it makes a hell of a difference, they held you hold your ground. The point is, you can use the infantry to keep yourself alive, and once you get far enough, your cavalry will straight up own. your hero gets 11x times artillery, regualr calvarly get 2x, dog soldiers get 3.5x infantry with a card, and move faster with another card. Basicly, if they can survive, i think the sioux have the best late game, as far as calvalry support goes.

I just read "they have the best late game" and i was like whaaa.
yea they are a good civ but their late game isnt as straight forward as the europeans. Whats nice about the aztecs when playing against calvary is the coyote runner. While it has no attack bonus and only 10% melee armor, not many things have an attack bonus against it. Its light light infrantry so light infrantry doesnt kill it, and niether does heavy or light calvary, i think melee infrantry kills them though. But sioux are missing all of those except for hte clubman who at times cna be pretty hard to deal with.

sioux have insane siege, but the only unit with the insane siege is the dog soldier, but the amount of siege that it has, is comparible to the orp...

So, there's pretty much no way I can switch away from the Russians at this point... how can you get better than the best!?!? I did decide to build an aztec deck for when I'm playing against some of the annoying cavalry civs like the sioux, dutch, and maybe French/Ports. But other than than, the Russians have 2 fucking factories, that wood thing, new orp shipments, and a renewable 30 nootka clubmen shipment in the 4th age! It's pretty hard to go wrong with that, especially where we can have 25 cards in our deck now!
On a more interesting note, I also have a team 2 mortar card, a team 8 spies card, and a team 1 monitor card... not always useful, but you never know!

i think the ports and spanish have new cards like that too. So yea, you think russians cant get any better. Wait till you try spain! They have so many good age 1 cards "and get another factory" they have a card that gives your missionaries attack bonus auras. . Josh and I pwn russians, especially the ones that try and orp, and th eones that sling shot ottoman players who can get 38 Jannies and constantly more at 7:30. It was real and nick and i kicked hte crap out of it.
