oh yea, and ive done some pretty succesfuly rushing with the russians lately, and been succesfuly rushed. The key seems to be constant pressure.

Never thought strelets could help a rush but they wasted those pesky jans pretty well. Ben...the strelet is a light infantry and the jan is a heavy. Light infantry have an attack bonus against heavy infantry. (You probably knew that) . Thats why skrims are so good at taking down jans and musks.

Well even if i do have bad grammar bien the game wouldnt be decided after 12 minutes, i dont know why everyone is so inlove with the dutch late game, its no better than any one elses, its actually worse. Tim always runs out of resources, even if he does have a 150 sized army, it dies too fast so he has to build more and more, which eventually tires his economy. And D was talking about how he has a new strategy for a good otto boom. And the germans own the late game.

Yeah, it's just that the strelets are the weakest light infantry and the jans are the strongest heavy infantry... especially in the second age. They managed to kill enough of the jans to keep the Otto guy at bay for a couple of minutes until I could kill his peasants.

The Dutch are just so hard to stop in the late game because those 8 banks essentially give them 4 extra factories. They have almost no need for plantations and can create armies of skirms and ruyters both of which are only one pop. Ruyters are good against artillary and cavalry and skirms against infantry... and they both have decent range. The point is, it's actually damn hard to kill their armies of 150, harder than just about any other combo. If you think they are bad at killing buildings, what do you think my orps are for? They can also aid with light infantry and artillary. Since we both have exploding economies in the 4th and 5th ages... it's pretty damn hard to overpower.

I could build 50 dopples continuously and win. Dopples kill everything, with the exception of jannisaries. Oh by the way everyone go here, its probably the funniest thing. qntm.org/destroy

Actually if the dutch make use of the halbirders than they can take down buildings down in no time. Skrims are decsent at seige and ruyters just plain suck very large balls.

The problem is, halbrediers become more and more obsolete with time. They are just too slow and lack the range and firepower to do much after the 3rd and early 4th age. I as the Russians don't have much of an alternitive for heavy infantry... but I do get them really cheap from blockhouses. I also have a card that gives all infantry 30% siege. Not to bad all and all but the orps are the only real seige unit. I also started a German civ online. I was sick of winning every game with the Russians.

haha, well you will probably start winning every game with germans too, well you Bien i think will win with what ever civ you choose.
Yea russians do win every game, i think its because people dont know how to beat them.
Its like when i play a dutch 1v1, i some times lose because im sitting there, like hmmm, how i do i beat a dutch on 1v1. Im so used to seeing them on team games.

All you have to do to beat a 1 v 1 dutch is rush them. They can't handle it.
